These are used to control length dimensions of shaft type components turned between centres, without need of controlling their centre-hole depth. They are suitable for CNC, CNC Retrofitted or Copy Turning Machines.

These are manufactured in various sizes according to spindle tapers, viz.

              This unit fits into headstock spindle taper directly and rotates along with it. Its centre at front supports the component. Work-driver or usual carrier is used for driving the component. Suitable CAP corresponding to centre-hole size is to be used with this unit. Its centre is spring loaded and gets pressed inside when component is pressed  towards headstock by tailstock centre. Since every component rests against CAP before the machining starts, required length dimensions are automatically maintained. Adjuster is provided with calibration markings to set the spring force of the unit.
